Frequently Asked Questions

I've answered some of the questions people often ask about the counseling process here; if you have any other questions, feel free to reach out via the contact page at any time.

For counseling to work, you need to feel safe and understood with your counselor. You're welcome to bring this up openly in the first sessions; making sure the process is right for you always comes first.

Yes. Everything you share is covered by professional confidentiality and is protected under the Privacy Policy (KVKK/GDPR) and is never disclosed to third parties without your explicit consent.

My services are psychological counseling, not medical treatment under German health insurance law; therefore neither statutory nor private health insurers cover the costs. Sessions are paid for privately and directly by you.

No, you don't need any referral letter or prior medical report. The appointment page lets you pick a suitable time and request a session directly.

No. I offer psychological counseling – not psychotherapy, medical treatment, or diagnostics. I do not hold the professional title "Psychotherapist" or "Heilpraktiker". My work is based on my master's degree (M.Sc.) in Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy, along with training in EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Schema Therapy, which I draw on as conversational methods within counseling. For significant mental health conditions, I recommend also seeking medical or psychotherapeutic care.

We can work together on many areas, including anxiety and panic, burnout, low mood, post-traumatic difficulties, relationship and attachment issues, and personal growth. If you're not sure, we can clarify what you need together during the introductory session.

The first meeting is an introductory session: we get to know each other, talk about what brought you here and what you're hoping for, and put together a roadmap for how we'll move forward.

Both are possible. I hold online sessions via video call and in-person sessions at my office in Kaarst; just let me know your preference when booking.

The "My Appointments" page lets you view your existing appointment and reschedule or cancel it there; if you have any other questions, feel free to reach out via the contact page at any time.
